So, where do ideas come from?

This page has nothing to do with what happens when a mommy and daddy idea love each other very much. What it is about is how ideas, at 36, make their way from our creatives' heads and out onto print and the web. So gather 'round and check out this example of what we mean when we say a design is "born by 36creative."

Sketch it out.
Every designer starts their creative process differently. One thing that really helps get things going is to do things the old fashioned way: putting a pencil in your hand and putting it to a piece of paper. Here, you can see some rough ideation sketches for a character concept.
Tighten up!
After the initial sketch phase, you have to tighten things up. That means getting digital. With logo and illustration development, our work usually gets scanned into Adobe Illustrator where we lovingly trace it to produce high quality, vector drawings like these.
Hmmm...
Every eye sees something different. So with every project, we rely on internal critiquing to maintain a high quality level in the work we produce. Sometimes, that means multiple designers jumping in the kitchen on one project, and tweaking the work until it's just right.
Behold!
After reviewing their designs internally and consulting with the client, our creatives diligently massage their work until it is guaranteed to achieve its intended goals. By combining creativity and a clear view of the end product, the end result is always ingenious.
we make it better
The moral of today's story is...

Sometimes putting together an amazing design is short and sweet, and then other times it's lengthy and drawn out. Either way, everything is dropped (alive and screaming) right out of our creatives' brains and onto the page or screen you're seeing. Sometimes they hit a sketch pad first, and there are always a number of hands reaching out to grab it. No matter what happens, the end result is engineered for performance, and is ready to hit the ground running.
